THE WHOLE GOD, JESUS, CHRISTIAN THING…

WE RECKON SOME PEOPLE JUST WANT TO HEAR IT ALL LAID OUT SIMPLY.
SOME JUST WANT TO LISTEN, OTHERS WANT TO ASK THEIR OWN QUESTIONS.
THAT’S WHAT THE LIFE SERIES IS ALL ABOUT.

WHAT IS THE LIFE SERIES?

Over 5 relaxed sessions, we lay it all on the table… Why our lives feel empty, why you can trust the Bible, what the real problem is, and how Jesus changes everything.

Week 1: The reason for Jesus?
Week 2: Can I trust the Bible?
Week 3: What’s the problem?
Week 4: What’s the solution?
Week 5: What’s the catch?

Do yourself a favor and come along to check out why Jesus is the Key to LIFE.

Christianity_ExploredChristianity Explored is a 7 week series we run throughout the year as often as people are interested to come! It’s a great ‘small group’ relaxed setting to explore who Jesus is and why He came through the Gospel of Mark. There’s lots of time for questions and discussion.

At Lake Mac Church we are passionate about Jesus.  Every Sunday he is the focus of our gatherings: we sing about Him, and talk about Him.  But our excitement about Jesus goes way beyond what we do on Sundays.  We want to follow him and live for him day by day, moment by moment.

JESUS CHRIST

Why are we so passionate about Jesus?

Who is he?

When you read the ancient biographies of Jesus, the big question on everyone’s lips is: who is Jesus?  Here was a man who healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, calmed the storm, and handed out God’s forgiveness.  When you put all the pieces of the puzzle together, it drives you to one conclusion: that Jesus is God’s king!

What did he come to do?

Jesus was brutally beaten and killed as a criminal.  It is not the way you expect God’s king to be treated.  Yet, Jesus taught his followers that he had to suffer in this way, because he was not dying for his own sin.  When Jesus died he died as the saviour of the world, and when he rose again it was proof that the job had been done, and that Jesus was God’s victorious king!

What does it mean to follow him?

So following Jesus means firstly, trusting in him: in his death and resurrection.  And secondly, treating him as king and seeking to live for him.
